- Is Evolution Breathwork safe..?
Yes, it is totally safe. Deep breathwork modalities can be uncomfortable at times due to the material that comes up in a session however the re-experiencing of this along with the release of negative energies associated with it is a large part of how healing occurs at a root level.
- How long does a session last..?
On average you will be breathing for anywhere between 1-2 hours. There is verbal dialogue before and then an opportunity to share and discuss the experience afterwards, so we say to allow 3 hours as it is not a process that should be rushed in any way.
- Will I know what’s going on..?
Yes, totally. Although you will have your eyes closed and will be traveling to deep places within yourself, you will be aware and able to talk about sensations and material as and when it comes up.
- Why haven’t I heard of this form of therapy before… Is it very new..?
No, these ‘modern’ versions have been around since the 70s and deep breathing practices have occurred for millennia. However, we are only recently starting to develop a scientific language to explain these experiences which is making them become more accessible and well known to the average person.
- What type of people generally do this type of therapy..?
Anybody who has decided to start facing their own personal truth and are willing to find out more about themselves... also people who feel like there is something holding them back from happiness but aren’t sure what that might be, people who want to work through past traumas that they know are holding them back, or anyone who wants to experience the profound healing states that can be accessed through these techniques and learn how to use them as the most complete tool known for personal development.
- How often do people do it..?
This is totally down to the individual, however we recommend 2 weeks between sessions to allow time for integration and time to work on any particular areas that came up in a session. Breathwork sessions often result in big changes to self which translate into big changes being made in day to day life and these take time. Often you will have great insights during a session but it is how you implement these in your daily life outside of the session that defines how positively transformational the outcome is.
- How many sessions will I need..?
Although a lot of systems use 10 sessions as a good amount to make significant progress, there is no fixed number. It is down to the individual how deeply into their processes they wish to go, but there is something to be gained from every single session as self knowledge is like building up the picture in a jigsaw puzzle piece by piece. The beauty of life is that we never stop learning. Most people realise that it is a tool to be learnt and used regularly if they want to keep evolving as an individual, and so look to master the techniques as soon as they feel comfortable. Every good breathwork practitioner will still do sessions themselves so it is as much a life tool as it is an immediate therapy.
- Is Evolution Breathwork for everyone..?
In short, no... Evolution Breathwork is a modality that has change at its core. Whether you call this evolving, transforming, growing, becoming more whole, or simply changing. Therefore if you are at a point in your life where you feel comfortable with the status quo and don't want to confront anything that may force you to question any aspect of your life then this is probably not for you at this time. However, if you have found yourself reading this far then perhaps at a subconscious level you are ready to move forward and confront the limiting beliefs that are holding you back from being the best version of yourself.
